From StackStorm to Vigil
DeepTempo's founders built StackStorm, the event-driven automation platform that Netflix and others used to run auto-remediation in production. We learned how operations teams earn autonomy: through code, evidence, and visibility, with the safe path made the easy one.
Security operations lacked that foundation. Detection rested on rules attackers had learned to evade, and the behavioral models meant to help were too shallow and too noisy to trust. We set out to build the missing layer: a foundation model pretrained on security telemetry, developed with BNY as our first design partner, that detects concerning sequences zero-shot inside the customer's own environment. A LogLM is similar to behavioral anomaly detection without the downsides of traditional ML-based anomaly detection.
Vigil followed: the open source AI SOC that turns findings into investigation and response, and that security teams can read, own, and extend. Vigil now extends to proactive and predictive operations.
StackStorm acquired by Brocade
